Brixham Heritage Race 2010
Friday 28th - Sunday 30th May
Spring Bank Holiday Weekend

The annual Brixham Heritage Regatta will be held between Friday 28th & Sunday 30th May 2010, the first weekend of the Brixham Heritage Festival.

As in previous years, vessels will be divided into five classes, and will race around a course in Torbay under the Old Gaffers Association handicapping system. In addition to the handicap racing, the Sailing Trawlers (previously registered for fishing, over 40grt) will be racing for the King's Cup, as they have done for over a century. The event will include lively shoreside entertainment on the Friday and Saturday nights.

This year promises to be an interesting and varied weekend for spectators, with the Passage race on Friday, the Heritage races on Saturday and Sunday , with modern powerboat racing in Torbay on the Saturday & Sunday.

All traditional vessels and classic yachts are welcome to enter. This year, we invite all yachts over 30 years old to enter. See Entry Information for further details.

Passage Race timings will be as follows:

12.00 Passage Race start - Class A - for traditional and classic sailing vessels 30 feet and over in length - Noss Marina Shield.

12.15 Passage Race start - Class B - for traditional and classic sailing vessels 29 feet  and under in length.- Noss Marina Shield.
