Brixham Heritage Race 2008
Saturday 24th May
Spring Bank Holiday Weekend

The annual Brixham Heritage Regatta will be held on Saturday 24th May 2008, the first weekend of the Brixham Heritage Festival.

As in previous years, vessels will be divided into five classes, and will race around a course in Torbay under the Old Gaffers Association handicapping system. In addition to the handicap racing, the Sailing Trawlers (previously registered for fishing, over 40grt) will be racing for the King's Cup, as they have done for over a century. The event will include lively shoreside entertainment on the Friday and Saturday nights.

This year promises to be an interesting and varied weekend for spectators, with the Heritage race on the Saturday, and modern powerboat racing in Torbay on the Sunday.

All traditional vessels and classic yachts are welcome to enter. See Entry Information for further details.
